Weight Loss Has To Be Done in Moderation

Lets be honest, you did not get fat in a day or a couple of weeks, it is something that took time not just overnight.

For some reason when it comes to losing weight we expect it to happen fast, and this is not realistic. Wanting it to happen as fast as possible is us setting ourselves up for failure, because the truth is it is very easy to gain weight, but to lose that weight we need to give our bodies time, and we need to be consistent in whatever we are doing.

Another realization that we need to put to rest is the fact that we did not eat what we were eating in moderation. We must have been eating too much of it, to get us gaining the weight that we did. The day you decide to do something about your weight loss, you must realize that you cannot just workout the hardest the one week and not do anything weeks after that, because you will fail.

It is better to start slowly and do everything in moderation. If you have not done any workouts, you cannot just shock your body out of the blue with a lot of exercise. This is medically strenuous for the body and any doctor would tell you that it is not a good idea because you can hurt yourself. You need to start small and slowly and get your body used to the exercises, and then build up as your body gets more fit and used to working out.

It is not just for exercise, it is also for the diet changes that you want to make. If you are used to eating junk all the time and suddenly shift to vegetables and lean meats, chances are you will not be able to do it. You will not be able to maintain it and it will not be sustainable.

So, decide on the changes that you want to see but implement them slowly. When it comes to exercise, you can start with simple walks and build them up. With your diet, you can decide to cut off the food that is most detrimental to your health and reduce your intake. Do that with all the foods until you reduce them to not eating them any more, and each time replace them with a food that is more nutritious, and as you keep eliminating, you will get to a point where your body only wants to eat healthy foods.

Water is important for weight loss, and that should also be done moderately. Ensure you drink it throughout the day and not in one seating.
