What Are Your Emotional Triggers that Make You Overweight

That is the question that I want you to think about for yourself. When I was overweight, I used to eat when I was feeling down and I also used to drink. This did not get me feeling great about myself, in fact it made me bigger and therefore more depressed.

I am short, and for someone short to be overweight is just so wrong. I have always wanted to be taller, so I hated being more fat just because I was overweight.

The only time I managed to change my life and my weight was when I started dealing with my problems and the stress in my life, instead of eating and drinking it away. That never worked anyway, it just made my problems even more.

What is the reason for you to be overweight? It is really worth thinking about because it is in knowing the reason behind it, and acknowledging it, and only once you do that can you then manage to change it and claim your life back.

We all have made excuses in our lives for ourselves, and it is in taking responsibility for the things we do that we can truly take control.

So, what is your reason you are overweight? There could be lots such as stress or maybe you are feeling depressed or maybe you are feeling a little sad. If any one of these factors are making you eat more than you should, you need to find out why you are having those feelings, and improve it or change it.

Food tastes great, and for some that is a way to close out certain problems but I must tell you that it is not going to get you anywhere far. Some people find that they can control their triggers by just not buying certain foods that they like. This certainly can help because when you are at home, if you are craving some chocolate and there is no chocolate in the house, there is no way that you are going to be eating chocolate.

This is one way to try and not respond to the food triggers that you have. However the best way is not to run away from your problems and make yourself better with food. The best way is to face them head on, figure out what you need to deal with them and then do what you need to do.

Sure you can opt for that slice of cake, but your weight will continue to get bigger, and your health will end up suffering, and that is sure to leave you with more problems.
