7 Diet Rules That Should Be Broken

Yes we all want to diet and we all want to lose weight from it, but some diet rules are totally meant to be broken. So here are the 7 ones that we think you should break:

  • Eating before you go to bed is bad for your weight – That may be true to a certain extent but what is more important is the calories that you put into your body over the whole day is what is going to cause your body weight to increase.
  • Meals should be consumed at the same time on a daily basis – I say it is better to eat when you are hungry, and only your body tells you that not the time.
  • Dieting with a friend or family member makes it easier to shed off the pounds – I totally agree but there comes a time when you have to do what you need to for yourself, not based on your what your friend is doing. And this is one of those times.
  • Dietary fat keeps the hunger away because you feel full long after you have eaten – That is not true, only fiber and protein can do that.
  • When you fall off the wagon with your diet, get back the control the next day – We can blow our diets but just do not beat yourself up for it for too long. And if you mess up during lunch, you can redeem yourself at dinner, you do not have to wait the next day.
  • Not allowing yourself to eat food at a party is rude – it is not if you know that the calories in it are very high and you are trying to stay in track with your diet.
  • Skipping meals in the quest to lose weight is acceptable – Actually it does more damage to your diet because your body's metabolism slows down so much that it does not burn any more calories. Also, you run the risk of being so hungry to the point where you might overeat for your next meal that you are going to have.

These are some diet rules that you can just relax about, no need to stress yourself about them.

How to Rely on HCG for Weight Loss?

Relying on HCG for weight loss will go a long way in helping you achieve your dreams of a slimmer and more attractive body. This program has now reached very many people and those who are looking to lose those extra pounds effectively are increasingly coming to rely on it.

There are many fad diets out there. They are no doubt very effective. However, they tend to be a tad tedious and will require you to adhere to very strict habits in so far as eating are concerned. Most people found them very impractical because life does not allow all of us the luxury of sticking to a diet of any kind.

  • History

Most of the reviews you will read out there with regards to relying on HCG for weight loss will inform you that this is a new program. However, it is not. It came up more than half a century ago when A.T. Simeons discovered the HCG hormone as he was trying to understand interlinks between obesity and HCG.

HCG, therefore, is not what most people think it is. It is neither a fanciful diet nor a pill. Instead, it happens to be a hormone that is typically found in pregnant women. The theory that is used to avail this hormone to people who are looking to lose weight is actually very simple.

  • What is HCG

This hormone aids the diet by depressing your need for food. It also depresses hunger. In case you are severely obese or overweight, therefore, you can rest assured that you will really want to rely on this hormone to lose weight and shed off those extra pounds that are a constant threat to your health and general well being. It is, after all, a lot safer as compared to going through gastric surgery.

  • Mode of Delivery

When you decide to rely on HCG for weight loss, you will want to know how the hormone is delivered into your body. Most of the time, this hormone comes in serums or injections. You will either ingest it orally or have it injected into your body intravenously.

Once you start on this program, it is highly recommended that you take care to limit your consumption of non processed foods to below 500 calories a day. Also, you should ensure that you inject or consume the hormone into your body for a minimum of 45 days.

  • HCG is Not Starvation

To come to a suitable conclusion, some people are of the view that this program for weight loss is similar to starving the body. However, it is not. Seeing as how the body will burn more of the fat stored in it when you start on this hormone therapy, you will be very wise to ensure you limit the calorie amounts that you take in.

Can We Chew The Fat?

Fat is stored energy. It's excess food/energy we couldn't burn. Belly fat is more dangerous than butt fat because it surrounds abdominal organs, which are susceptible to biochemicals released by fat cells. These chemicals cause inflammation that could lead to heart attacks and strokes. Fat cells expand when we eat too much food/energy and overeating can increase the number of fat cells. When we lose weight, fat cells shrink – they don't disappear. Also, we lose fat proportionately throughout our body. We can't spot-reduce. A pear-shaped person becomes a smaller pear. It's genetics – it's hormones – it's "fat-e".

To lose fat we diet, but the Mediterranean diet – the much-acclaimed diet of fresh fruit, vegetables, fish and olive oil – is losing popularity in the Mediterranean. Young people in Greece, Italy and Spain are adopting the "industrial global diet" of fast food and sodas – and getting fatter. The original Mediterranean diet was a diet of poverty – not choice. When people had more money, they ate more meat. Now, compared to the cost of the Mediterranean diet, the industrial diet of meat, fat and sugar is cheap. For the first time children are predicted to have shorter lives than their parents. We can't afford cheap diets.

Although young people may be bored with the Mediterranean diet, it's not as boring as the "bored diet". In a study published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition 32 women – half being obese – were randomly divided into 2 groups. One group ate macaroni and cheese daily. The other group ate it weekly. After a week the women in the daily group consumed fewer calories, while the weekly group consumed more calories. Repeated exposure to the same thing leads to decreased response – "habituation". It's the same phenomenon that causes addicts to need higher doses of drugs. In this case, however, food is the drug of choice.

Should wives diet to have happier marriages? A 4-year study of 169 newlywed couples – all under age 36 – published in Social Psychological and Personality Science found marital satisfaction was higher for men if their wives were thinner than they were. The wives were also more satisfied if they were thinner. Supposedly, there's an evolutionary explanation for the men's preference – thin women were thought to be more fertile. The explanation for why the wives preferred to be thinner was that they wanted to satisfy their husbands. Yes, this definitely was a study of newlyweds!
