7 Diet Rules That Should Be Broken

Yes we all want to diet and we all want to lose weight from it, but some diet rules are totally meant to be broken. So here are the 7 ones that we think you should break:

  • Eating before you go to bed is bad for your weight – That may be true to a certain extent but what is more important is the calories that you put into your body over the whole day is what is going to cause your body weight to increase.
  • Meals should be consumed at the same time on a daily basis – I say it is better to eat when you are hungry, and only your body tells you that not the time.
  • Dieting with a friend or family member makes it easier to shed off the pounds – I totally agree but there comes a time when you have to do what you need to for yourself, not based on your what your friend is doing. And this is one of those times.
  • Dietary fat keeps the hunger away because you feel full long after you have eaten – That is not true, only fiber and protein can do that.
  • When you fall off the wagon with your diet, get back the control the next day – We can blow our diets but just do not beat yourself up for it for too long. And if you mess up during lunch, you can redeem yourself at dinner, you do not have to wait the next day.
  • Not allowing yourself to eat food at a party is rude – it is not if you know that the calories in it are very high and you are trying to stay in track with your diet.
  • Skipping meals in the quest to lose weight is acceptable – Actually it does more damage to your diet because your body's metabolism slows down so much that it does not burn any more calories. Also, you run the risk of being so hungry to the point where you might overeat for your next meal that you are going to have.

These are some diet rules that you can just relax about, no need to stress yourself about them.
