The profession of physician assistant is no different from any other occupation because for each job out there, there will always be some kind of requirement academically that will always need to be dealt with. This is because its PA program lasts for 28 months and has special emphasis on teaching students who want to be PAs how to perform as primary health care providers.

The full curriculum that is given by Duke consists of 3 stages where the first is going to didactic, the next is going to clinical and the next one will be more advanced. The fourth school is George Washington University. This school has a curriculum that is divided in two stages in which the first year will involve academic coursework and the second will have students doing actual hands on clinical work.
