All about arm pit and genital skin tag

Skin tag can generally be referred to as small benign skin growths that look like a small piece of soft hanging skin. Perceived social stigma over removal of skin tag is the primary reason for people to opt for removing the otherwise harmless skin tags. Skin tags can be referred to as non-cancerous tumors of the skin whose symptoms are generally not visible unless they are repeatedly scratched while wearing of clothes, jewelry or even while shaving hard. It is generally found that skin tags are found in individuals with certain notable characteristics like people who are overweight, diabetic and amongst pregnant women. Skin tags don't affect any particular gender and hence they are equally found amongst both men and women in general. Let's proceed further by understanding a bit more about the outer appearance of skin tags. The surface of skin tags are generally smooth or irregular in appearance, they are often raised from the basic surface of skin through stalks called peduncles. Midlife is generally the period around which skin tags generally occur. Skin tags are generally formed when bunches of collagen and blood vessels get trapped inside thicker bits of skin. They are generally found to be present in skin creases and folds and are formed when skin rubs against one another.

In this article I would like explain in brief about skin tags developed around one's arms and around female genital. I myself had a benign skin tag under my right arm, which only became noticeable after me crossing 40 years of age. Skin tags developed near one's arms can be a painful experience and one can't even move one's arms freely then. Another very uncomfortable area is when women develop skin tags around their genital. Women should not get scared about developing skin tags as they are a harmless occurrence found in many women. I would also like to vehemently dismiss the myth that development of skin tags is in any ways related to developing any sexually transmitted diseases. Infact it is the fear of the same that drives many women towards seeking options of removing their genital skin tags though they are harmless.

Studies reveal that skin tags are non cancerous, but in very rare cases they have been found to be cancerous as well hence requiring immediate surgery. Skin tags that suddenly become large could be classified as being cancerous, in such cases it's extremely important to seek medical attention. There have been reports of warts being contagious, skin tags are are not communicable to others as they are not viral in nature. This would rule out the possibility of it transmitting from one person to another. In some cases it has been found that the skin tags sometimes fall off themselves. There could be a variety of reasons that we could attribute towards this one is that the skin tag getting twisted at the base of the stock thus blocking the flow of blood towards it, if this happens then the skin tag would fall on its own or die a natural death.

One should never get scared or worried, on finding a skin tag on one's body surface. Their presence is very normal in an adults life and thanks to modern technology we have a host of suitable options that we can refer to for treating them. Suffering silently from my arm skin tag for many years for the main reason behind me writing this article, I hope I have been able to reach out to like minded people who can resort to some of the skin tag removal options listed above.
