Organic Spices – The safest to Use, The Tastier Too

Spices are those ingredients that are normally used in cooking to make the dishes tastier. But many of us do not know the actual fact that these spices also act as medicines as well as preventives. And that is the reason why our ancestors had stressed on using these spices. They knew very well which spice would react positively with which ingredient and which spice would suit which weather. When we go into the details we can find that people who are living in hot countries consume more of spices that give them the needed cooling effect, while those in cool countries consume spices that produce heat that helps them to tackle the cold related problems.

But the major blunder that we have been doing is using chemicals pesticides and fertilizers with a greed to produce more in a short period of time and in a comparatively smaller plantation area. This has adversely affected the effects of not only the spices but all the foods that are grown using these chemicals. Even before it became too late, people have woken up to the reality and the growers are now gradually shifting back to the original organic method of growing. And now we can start seeing labels indicating Organic Spices organic fruits and vegetables etc.

When we talk of Organic Spices or for that matter spices in general the common spices that come to our mind are many. These include black pepper that is quite hot in taste but has many medicinal values that include enhanced digestion, increases the appetite and keeps cold, infections and worms at bay. There is the turmeric that is the best natural antiseptic, antibiotic and above all anti - infectant that one can ever think of. That is the reason why turmeric powder is used in cooking all types of salty and sour dishes. It removes the invisible micro germs from the vegetables and cereals. Whether it is an injury or cold or infection just using turmeric powder both orally and internally will give the best results.

But just imagine if such wonderful anti germ, antibiotic and antiseptic ingredient itself is infected with harmful chemical by way of fertilizers and insecticides then what would be the resulting situation. These hazardous chemicals are found to create all types of havoc by way of rampant diseases. It first affects the root of the metabolism i.e. the immunity system thereby paving way for all types of diseases including fatalistic ones like cancer, heart attacks etc. Having realized these negative impacts, there is worldwide campaign going on for turning to organic farming. And a part of it is the farming of Organic Spices.

Another factor that we can clearly notice is that there is a common feeling that we are not getting the actual taste of food which we used to have in earlier times. And here again the culprit is the chemicals. When we use these Organic Spices we can clearly find the difference in the taste of food. The food does really taste better and tastier.
